Telfar celebrates 20th Anniversary with New York City Inspired Plastic Bag Collection

New York-based, luxury bag company, Telfar, marked its 20th Anniversary with a New York City Inspired Plastic Bag Collection.

Described by the brand as 'a forever take on the city's most iconic disposable silhouette', the collection is a tribute to the city's ubiquitous 'Thank You for Shopping' bags, once handed out at bodegas and grocery stores which were banned in 2020.

Shaped like a grocery bag, and crafted from waterproof nylon, each bag is double lined with ruched elastic handles, tonal seams, a generous interior and feature two deep side pockets that fit water bottles, a zip pocket, slit pocket, and hidden stash pocket. The regular is big enough to hold a 13'laptop and daily essentials while the jumbo makes a perfect carry-on.

The bags are available in 11 Prints including the iconic yellow smiley face and 'Thank You for Shopping' slogan, and 2 Sizes Regular (148 USD) and Jumbo (195 USD).
